This is a review for the HerbOLITHIC Herbal Tea Bags, Cleavers. Each container of tea comes with 30 teabags. Each teabag is individually wrapped. I have to admit, I love an individually wrapped product! I don’t see it as wasteful, I see it as convenient and efficient. I can quickly grab a few of these and stash them in my bag, in luggage, in the glove compartment, anywhere. Easy access to tea, what’s not to like?! The tea brews well, the color is nice. The taste is herbal. I know that’s not very descriptive, but it’s tough to pinpoint the exact flavor profile. The tea bags contain a mix of different ingredients. 9, to be exact. These are cleavers, dandelion, red clover, burdock root, bupleurum, horsetail, lotus leaf, elderberry, and reishi! As I said, I don’t taste any one specific herb here. It’s mild taste. This tea has been saving me on these cold winter days!

    I was interested in ordering this Cleavers blend, since I recently saw a program in which a woman in Ireland was gathering cleavers in order to use them in tea and medicinally. On one hand, there's no substantial proof that these boost the immune system, curtail cancer, treat psoriasis, etc. On the other hand, they've been used for centuries and there is often something to be said for folk medicine.

    At any rate, this blend of Cleavers and other wild plants has a rich and pleasant taste. It doesn't taste like anything I've ever had before, so it's impossible for me to compare the taste to something with which people might be familiar.

    I would recommend it. Drinking it is a nice experience, especially on a cold winter day.

    The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating is because the individual packages of tea are labelled only as "herbal tea". I have another tea by this company, which is labelled the same way. Therefore, I have to keep both teas in their original bag in order to know which one I'm drinking. I would prefer to be able to combine various teas in a different container.

    Before trying this tea for review, I never heard of cleavers before. I've been trying this tea now for about a month. There are 30 tea bags in this pack And I've been trying to drink at least one daily since Thanksgiving. Which is a time when we tend to over indulge afterwards people are looking for a way to detoxify. The packaging says it has nine different herbs in it with different it benefits and they all combine to mainly help in lymphatic drainage. All I know about the lymphatic system. It's the the it's a system in our body that makes us retain water.

    I found this tea tasted very mild. Despite all the herbs contained in each bag it did not taste too strong or too unpalatable. You can drink it on its own with hot water. Or if you like it with a little flavor you can add sugar or honey to it and it tastes great.
    The first few times I drank it. I didn't feel any side effects or anything different. But after a week of drinking it, I started noticing that I was able to go to the bathroom easier and more frequently, but it is not like senna tea, that makes you go to the bathroom with really bad, painful cramps. This tea helped me go to the bathroom with very gentle, very little side effects. I would recommend this tea to anyone who's trying to shed some water weight and fluids from your system. I would recommend this tea to anyone.
