How do I know the nixit menstrual disc will fit me?
When pinched, it’s the same size as a tampon. It’s soft, flexible, and easy to insert no matter your shape or size. Rather than sitting in the vaginal canal, the nixit menstrual disc sits in your fornix, which is typically the same size for everyone!
Is a menstrual disc safe to use with an IUD?
Yes! Menstrual discs are safe to wear with an IUD because of the lack of suction, but we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider regarding your particular IUD.
Is a menstrual disc different than a menstrual cup?
While they both collect your flow, they are different! Ours is a menstrual disc because it’s suction-free, sits at the base of the cervix, and has a circular shape. Menstrual cups are bell-shaped, hold less flow, and require a suctioned seal.
How do you insert a menstrual disc?
Pinch the menstrual disc and insert it into the vagina, pointing back and down. Insert it as far as it will go, and tuck it behind your pubic bone. At least every 12 hours, remove it, empty it, wash it and then re-insert it. It should be comfortable!
How do you remove a menstrual disc?
Keep your menstrual disc level by tilting your hips forward. Use a finger to glide it out while bearing down to untuck it. Let contents drain into the toilet before full removal. Some users practice in the shower for a mess-free experience.

Changed my life!!!
I don’t say this lightly — nixit is the best period product I’ve ever used. I wish I had switched years ago.The biggest difference is no suction. It sits behind the pubic bone instead of creating that sealed feeling traditional cups have, and that alone made it so much more comfortable for me. I genuinely forget I’m on my period when I’m wearing it.There is a small learning curve the first cycle (placement matters), but once you get it positioned correctly, it’s a game changer. No dryness, no string, no constant bathroom trips. I’ve worn it for long work days and workouts with zero issues. The material is soft and flexible but still secure. It feels way less intimidating than firmer cups. It’s more expensive upfront, but I would buy it again in a heartbeat. If you’re on the fence, this is your sign.

Best period item to wear!
I used to use a cup and this is way better! It’s so comfortable, you can’t even tell you’re wearing one. It’s easy to insert and remove once you get the hang of it and you can “self empty” by squeezing if you don’t want to remove it every time. Also easy to clean, love this!

FLIMSY
If you want to struggle, buy this product. I really wanted this to work because the disposables end up costing you a lot more.. good luck, trying to stuff this flimsy rubber where the sun don’t shine.. you’ll take your inner lips with it. Going back to the disposables I guess 😩I do want to come back and be fair- as soon as I put the disposable one back in I stood up from sitting in a chair and that’s all it took for it to self empty on me and I found myself reaching for the Nixit.. it is a struggle to place however it holds its shape better than the disposables do and it has never self emptied on me unexpectedly.. still not great but the alternative is apparently worse. I never have any issues retrieving it and once it’s in place you can’t feel it and it does relieve cramping. Not perfect but not terrible either.

Less rigid than other brands
Bought this as it was rated to be a softer disc and I have problems of them pushing on my bladder while wearing. This one is so much more comfortable than the last brand I used and seems to leak less, very happy!

Life changing once you get the hang of it
Switched to these from tampons about 3-4 years ago. There is a little learning curve, but once you figure it out it is truly life changing. The freedom I have now is priceless. 12 hours, zero leaks – period! I work out, play tennis, swim, etc with this and never have a leak.

Great soft disc
I need soft discs and I prefer that they don’t have a removal device because I have issues with removal devices. They either don’t work (notches) and I feel they diminish the capacity, or they are uncomfortable (loops and stems). I also need a soft disc due to cramps. Was using another disc, but the notch and the size resulted in leaks on my heaviest day. I added Nixit into my rotation and so far, so good. Nice and soft. Probably a little too big (because I auto dump with this one) but the softness of the rim means I can wear this, not get cramps, and not leak on my heaviest day. No issues with either removal or insertion.

Very big and too flexible rim
This product is very big and has very flexible rim. It does not stay sitting on the pelvic floor especially when I have heavy period or go to restroom. had to clean the restroom floor several times due to this product. I regret buying this product. BTW, I recently purchased flex disc, which DOSE sit on my pelvic floor.

Softest Reusable Disc 😍
Pros: I love the soft texture of the Nixit. I can’t feel the pressure of it inside me, even with a full bladder. That makes it more comfortable than medium/firm options like Flex, Ziggy, or the Diva cup. The softer rim is also less noticeable for others during “team activities”. This is my preferred disc now.All discs I’ve tried shorten my period & reduce cramps, this one included. I don’t notice a difference by brand.Cons:The softer rim requires a removal learning curve. It doesn’t “pop out” easily and instead bends under pressure. Hook the rim with a finger in a g spot motion, don’t push or try to fold it.I got one for a tampon-using friend & received a panicked call the first night. It took 20 mins & a demo pic for her to figure it out. Now she likes that she doesn’t need a bathroom every few work hours. I stand by this cup, but a firmer cup could be easier for newbies or those with mobility issues.

I was surprised how easy the disc was to insert properly on my first try. SO much easier than any cup I have tried, way more comfortable, and no leaking. Very happy!

I was excited to try a menstrual cup — saving money and avoiding the potential risks of chemicals absorbed through pads and tampons sounded like a win. What I didn’t realize, however, was just how high my cervix sits. My fingers simply couldn’t reach far enough to dislodge the cup. After struggling for over 30 minutes, I sheepishly had to ask my husband for help. With a few different maneuvers, he eventually managed to get it out. Not something I ever want to repeat.

Highly recommend. No leaking, can leave in for 12 hours with no issues.

switched from a cup as the suction was hurting my cervix. the disc is easy to insert and comfortable while in, and i haven’t had any leaks. it’s a bit messy to remove, but it’s not an issue as i can autodump through the day and only change it out twice a day in the shower.

I have used menstrual cups for years and think they’re great. I wanted to try the Nixit for awhile now after seeing their great ads. I’ve used it for 2 cycles now and haven’t been able to use it without some kind of liner. It stays somewhat in place but shifts with movement like standing up or sneezing and causes a mess. I’m constantly needing to readjust it after using the bathroom or moving. I read forums, watched videos, tried so many different ways to put it in an have it stay. Had a Lunette before and going to go back to that.
